jpandmarie@hotmail.com Hi Edwin, Carla & Flora, 21/09/2008
Bhavik "Baz" Mithani: (United Kingdom)
b_mithani@hotmail.co.uk Before I start i'd like to apologise to Edwin for the delay in this message... OK, to all you wanna be travellers out there i did the Salkantay trek with Eco Waykis on the 12th of June this year and it was one of the best things i have ever done. The tour itself is absolutely beautiful with mountains, rainforests and finally Macchu Piccu (just as the website describes). However, just doing the trek would not have given me the experience i recieved. We were lucky enough to have Edwin as our guide and armed with a few horses, Augusto (our chef), Etson (our horseman) and Gabrino (assistant to both) we set out to conquer the trail. The amount of thought that Edwin and the crew has put into this operation is phenomenal. We had good camping grounds, great company, and the best food than i had eaten for the last 6 months!! Edwin knows all about the local Kechua people and the Inca traditions and I learnt a great deal from him. His d ... More Information. 26/04/2008

michaeldginsberg@gmail.com Edwin was the most incredible guide and representative of his culture that anyone could have wished for. His attention to trail and camping detail and comfort was superlative and first class all the way. His narratives about the history, religion, culture and folklore of the Inca civilization were stimulating and enriching. In addition to being a outstanding guide, outdoorsman and historian, he also proved a skilled psychologist. He came to know and understand each hiker. I will never forget was how he worked with each of the 7 hikers (a father(me), my 3 sons, and three girlfriends), all differing hiking abilties, with none of the hikers having undertaken such a challenge of a 3.5 day hike over a 14,000 ft pass, to overcome their fears, deal with their concerns and manage the challenge they each experienced. The pride he transmitted and energy he invested in every ... More Information. 07/04/2008

dhopeful1@shaw.ca As luck would have it, a friend of mine introduced me to Monica and Ron Groom (above) by email when I was starting to plan a trip to Peru for myself, my two daughters and one of their male friends. Edwin's name was given to me. A few days later another friend who had done a trip with Edwin mentioned his name also. Two different people sang his praises. I started communicating with Edwin and as luck would have it he was not only in the business as a guide on the Inca Trail he also ran a business which could put my whole trip together, which he did. He booked every bus/train and plane ticket within Peru, he arranged transfer from those spots to our accommodations, organized our jungle trip and led us on our 4day/3night inca trail hike. As mentioned by Ron above Edwin's staff on the Inca Trail were the best, cheering us in everyday after they themsselves had run ahead to set up camp and get everything ready for us to have hot tea, bowls with hot water to bathe in and o ...
