Day 01: LIMA -Cusco

Daytime arrival in Cusco.
Transfer to the hotel ***

Day 02: Cusco

City Tour: 1.30 pm meet at the Eco Waykys office or predetermined location for transport. We first visit the central equisite architectural feats of the ancient "Koricancha" Temple, and the Principal Cathedral, in which the first stone was placed in 1560, is a marvel of the religious art possessing approximately 300 paintings from the Cusqueña School. Then, the tour moves to the arqueological park complex of Saqsayhuamán, majestic place with impressive works in stone, some up to 120 tons. Q'enqo (Labyrinth) a religious center dedicated to the adoration of the Earth. Puca Pucara (reddish place) that was used as a military control center, and a mandatory stop for all travelers of the Inca era.Tambomachay (Temple of the Water) a center of adoration and worship of water.

Day 03 : Cusco

Sacred Valley (Full Day)

At 8.20am meet at Eco Waykys Travel office or transfer from your hotel at earlier time if coordinated. In a tourist bus, we travel from Cusco past Saqsaywaman & Tambomachay, over the mountains toward the Sacred Valley. We descend 1500 feet to the valley floor of the sacred Urubamba river and the village of Pisac where we will visit a traditional market and you can buy some local souveniers. We then drive up to explore the extensive ruins of Pisac with stunning views over the valley. On the guided walk into the Citadel of Pisac you can observe temples, residences, altars, channels, carvings, tunnels/caves and the famous Intihuatana “The hitching post of the Sun",
We continue on to Urubamba where we stop for you to buy lunch. A further 30 mins drive takes us to Ollantaytambo surrounded by the sacred mountains, where we will again discover the magnificence of the Incan constructions, the amazing temple of the Sun, enormous blocks of rock perfectly carved and polished, stone water fountains, stairs, terraces and the beauty of the local people in their traditional dress, all surrounded by the sacred mountains and Valley of Patacancha and Willoq. On our return, we quickly visit the famous church and archeological site in Chincheros, arriving to Cusco at about 6.30-7:00pm.

Day 04: Machu Picchu 2D/1N

We pick up from your hotel, then move towards Poroy station, where we take our train to Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu), after a journey of about 3:30, we arrive to Aguas Calientes where our staff will be waiting to pick and then adapt it to your hotel.

Day 05: Machu Picchu

After breakfast, tomaresmos the bus to take us on a journey of 30 minutes, rising by a zigzag path to the incredible Machu Picchu. The tour includes a guided tour of the Citadel, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of Three Windows and various cemeteries around for more than two hours. Then you will be given free time to stroll around the citadel.
Lunch at a restaurant in Aguas Calientes or if you want in the Sanctuary Lodge Hotel (lunch is on your own). In the afternoon return to Cusco by train, transfer to hotel i always when the center of town or otherwise leave it in Piazza Exhilaration.

Day 06: Cusco – Puerto Maldonado – Tambo Jungle Lodge - Monkey Island.

On arrival of your flight to Puerto Maldonado, our guides or staff will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the centre of town.
We take our private bus and boat along the Madre de Dios river for approximately 1 hour to Tambo Jungle Lodge. In the afternoon we will take a 30 minutes boat journey to Monkey Island. We will return to Tambo Jungle Lodge, for a delicious traditional dinner. Nocturnal activities are available each night.

Day 07: Tambo Jungle Lodge – Sandoval Lake.

After a great Jungle Breakfast, we take a 90 minutes walk to the famous Sandoval Lake , passing through virgin forest, home to beautiful flora and fauna. We will spend few hours by canoe on the most beautiful lake in region. One of the most awe inspiring features of the jungle, in the enormity magical tree top canopy of the trees and, you will have the experience of standing at the base of the huge kapok tree.

Day 08: Tambo Jungle Lodge – Taricaya Project.

Jungle breakfast, we will travel a further 1 hour down river to the Taricaya project of specialized trails where you will be led by your guide for discovering the amazing ecosystem up close (canopy) along and array of trails.
This day we will visit a local family who will show us different aspects about their life.

Day 09: Tambo Jungle Lodge – Parrot’s Clay Lick – Puerto Maldonado – Cusco or Lima.

Very early departure to witness the spectacle of the Parrot’s Clay Lick, and enjoys the sunrise on the rivers as we journey 90 minutes hours to the wall before hundreds of green parrots congregate at first light each morning. We will generally be able to spend about one hour here before reboarding the boat to enjoy breakfast on our return to Puerto Maldonado. Check in 2 hours before your flight on to Cusco or Lima.
