ZIP LINE – CCORCA (CANOPY LINE)

The longest in South America (860 meters!!) and the highest in the World (3680 m.a.s.l.)

We leave north easterly from Cusco city at 8.00 hours in our private Bus, heading in the direction of Ccorca district, which is Cusco city’s less developed area. However, this is truly beautiful country with unbelievable variety that always attracts adventurous people. From the highest point in the road there is spectacular mountain scenery from the superlative Vilcabamba, Urubamba and Vilcanota Ranges, all with snow-capped peaks. After a breath of fresh air, we will start our first part of the adventure on mountain bikes, going downhill on a dirty road (which is in very good condition) for the next half hour. We will be sharing the trail with Quechua-speaking llama herders, in addition to herds of sheep, llamas and alpacas, which is near an astonishing Inca Trail (Qhapaq Ñan) which used to be part of the ancient roads to the coast. We will then reach the 3 parts of the Zip line (860 meters in total), changing our bikes for pulleys, a harness and carabineers, to feel the excitement of “zipping along the wire”. Before moving on to the third zip line, it is necessary to climb down the Via Ferrata (Iron Way) a 40 mts. metal ladder at high altitude, which adds to the sense of adventure and suspense. Lastly, you will abseil 100 meters down the vertical rock face to complete the thrill-ogy of this great adventure, which provokes every kind of emotion!!! …………….. Do all this in one day for the adventure of a lifetime!!!
